G5-5587, Performance drop on battery
I've recently bought the Dell G5 15 (older version known as the 7577), it has all the latest hardware with the 1060 Max Q and 8th Gen Processor. It was great frame rates on AC Power (plugged in) but when I try to run the same game on battery the frame rates drop to half. I've tweaked around with the Nvidia settings and have everything to Performance Mode but no difference. My eventual conclusion is that on battery the PC is using Intel UHD Graphics rather than Nvidia and I don't know how to change it. If anyone is facing the same problem and has resolved it (need same fps on battery and plugged in), let me know.
Thanks in Advance...

In GeForce Experience go to the Settings menu then choose Games from the left side.
There should be an option called Battery Boost that allows you to set your maximum framerate. Have you tried turning this off or upping the max framerate?
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about (image was found with google and is not mine)
