G5 5590 Sound Gliches
Hello,
I just got my Dell G5 5590 and I noticed that the sound gliches/hangs every couple of minutes when watching videos or playing games.
Steps That I've already taken:
- reinstalled audio drivers.
- windows fresh installation from the recovery (win 10 home) and updating it to the latest
- windows fresh installation fro a Win 10 Pro I had previously and updating it to the latest
- googled the issue but didn't find any help.
** I've also tried Ubuntu and the sound works fine, so most probably its not a hardware issue.

Many, Many causes. Each case must be handled individually, however one common issue is wi-fi. Temporarily disable wi-fi and play an audio file or game that is on the system drive and see if you still get the problem.
FWIW, I have an Inspiron 15 5577 gaming laptop that I bought to use in my recording studio. No matter what I did, I could never get it 100% clean for recording. I made a dual boot setup one with the Dell disc image and the other with only Win10, needed drivers and my recording studio software and that runs perfectly clean. If I want to use regular PC ops or games I boot to the Dell image, if I want to use it for recording I boot to the added disc image. An extreme way to fix it but worked for me.
One program to help with troubleshooting is the free (and popular) Resplendence Latency Mon. Download and run that.
