Gap between display and frame

On a Saturday morning, I open my laptop which was on a table overnight.

It was horrifying to see the frame coming apart from the display as I try to open the machine.

I contacted customer care immediately after this "daymare". They showed no signs of care or support.

The device is hardly 6 months old and there was a teeny tiny gap between the frame and the display for some days.

It was truly a horrifying incident. I handled the machine with utmost care and there was never a physical damage to it!

Did anyone else with Inspiron 15 have similar issues?

You can try-
Take clear pictures or videos that clearly show the problem with the frame coming apart from the display. These visual records can be useful when discussing the issue with customer support or when filing a warranty claim.

Check the warranty terms and conditions that came with your laptop. Most manufacturers offer a standard warranty that covers manufacturing defects and hardware issues within a specific timeframe. Ensure that your issue falls within the warranty coverage period.

Third thing is that- Reach out to the customer support of the laptop manufacturer or the retailer from whom you purchased the laptop. Explain the issue and provide them with any documentation or evidence you have. Be firm but polite in expressing your dissatisfaction with the initial response you received. Ask for a resolution, such as repair or replacement, based on the warranty terms.
