HDMI only works when you push hard

Question

My HDMI port only outputs signal when I push the HDMI into the port very hard. When I let go the signal drops. How can I fix this?

Sounds like a loose connector. Have you tried more than one cable? Have you checked that nothing e.g. a bit of dust or something is present in the port of the laptop, which can prevent the cable going in fully. This can also give a loose connection which can only be intermittent if it is forced in.
