INSPIRON 1545 HHD TO SSD UPGRADE
Hello,
I am having a 8 year old Inspiron 1545, and it goes very slow. My friend told me about upgrading to an SSD. But I don't know whether It will work or not. Please suggest me what to do. And which brand is best for my laptop. It has Windows 7 Ultimate running with DDR2 2GB Ram and Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. It has a 320 GB Hard Drive at SATA-2 3GBP/S, Which I want to replace with a SSD. Please tell me what to do.

An SSD upgrade would most likely see the most increase in system performance.
Next upgrading the memory to 8GB.

But will SATA 2 support a SATA 3 SSD? And can I upgrade my CPU to Intel Pentium Gold? And is the crucial memory for laptop or desktop?

SATA3 is backwards compatible with SATA2

Yes your SATA 2 will support a SATA 3 drive.
SATA III specifications provide backward compatibility to function on SATA I and SATA II ports. However, the maximum speed of the drive will be slower due to the lower speed limitations of the port.
Look at the link I posted above it has a list of upgrade-able CPU's.
Look at the link I posted above it says compatible upgrades for the Inspiron 1545.
