The best option would be to send it in for service under the hardware warranty. Check to see if your warranty is still good. If so by all means ship it to dell for repairs. If not you have a few other options. If possible, run a full hardware can to see what components are damaged. You could still send it to dell for out of warranty repair. Call and get a price estimate first. It will probably be well in excess of $200. You could also order the parts yourself and attempt your own repair, assuming it’s just a battery and screen that needs replacing. You might also try a local computer repair shop. And finally, depending on the extend of the damage and cost of repairs, you could purchase a new computer.

It's been 4 years since I purchased my laptop, Inspiron 13 5378 2-in-1. 

My battery does not work at all without its adapter anymore and I want to change it.

I can only find some equivalent batteries here in Turkey. Would you recommend any place that I can get original Dell battery or is it ok to buy a equivalent battery?
