Inspiron 15 3505 Internal Storage
I just ordered the Inspiron (15) 3505 with the 256 SSD and am waiting to have it shipped. In the mean time I was reading the service manual for it an it shows two different models of Solid State Hard Drives SSD 2280/2230 and it also shows a bay for a 2.5 Hard Drive. I already have a 1T 2.5" Samsung EVO 860 SSD that I am using as an external storage drive. I would like to put it in the empty 2.5 bay to use for storage and use the 256 that comes in the computer for the boot. Does anyone know if the 2.5 adapter and the HD ribbon cable comes already installed or not? Does anyone know the part numbers for the 2.5 adapter to mount the hard drive to the board and the three screws that mount it to the board along with the part number for the HD data ribbon cable?

The system will almost certainly not come with the mounting hardware unless it's ordered with a 2.5" drive. On these newer systems, Dell Spare Parts is likely the only source of a part number or information. In the U.S., call 1-800-357-3355. You will need a service tag number for them to assist you.
