Inspiron 15 5559 System PTE Misuse when restarting
Hi All
A few weeks ago support assist updated my BIOS and my graphics driver.
I was extremely pleased with the new graphics driver as an app that was always very slow in the past is now working well.
However, now when I restart my laptop I get the BSOD and an error message System PTE Misuse.
This does not happen if I shutdown and then start the laptop so I have a workaround.
I did try downgrading the BIOS but even though the BIOS downgrade option was ticked in the BIOS the app did not allow the downgrade.
Grateful for any suggestions to resolve this.

Same, here!
I have a Dell 5457 and bought in Brazil.
It happened after a upgraded my bios from 1.2.3 to 1.3.2.
After I downgraded to 1.2.3 it happes here as well:
"This does not happen if I shutdown and then start the laptop so I have a workaround."

The solution is posted elsewhere:
"The solution I found was to enter the BIOS and untick/disable PTT Security."
Worked for me!

1) Goto Bios by clicking F2
2) Goto Security Section.
3) Goto the PTT Security section.
4) Untick the "PTT On" box (empty this box)
It Works for my Dell Inspiron 15
