Inspiron 15 5567, WiFi Driver Installation Error
Hello,
I am currently dealing with some minor installation errors with my Inspiron 15 5567, one of which involves a WIFI installation error.
My current version of the Intel WIFI driver is 19.51.18.1. According to Dell SupportAssist, there is a newer driver available under 19.60.0.7, A08. Every attempt to download this driver has met with errors including:
1) Downloading and installing via SupportAssist,
2) Downloading the file directly to my PC and attempting to install (which results in a "a newer product version is already installed" error), and
3) Following the instructions listed here. The result is the exact same driver is reinstalled automatically and I get the same error as above).
BIOS Version: 1.2.8
The only other pending download for drivers is for the "Intel Chipset Device Software" to version 10.1.18019.8144, A08, which I have also not had any luck with in installing (it installs but always reappears as requiring to install)
I would appreciate any and all help you can give me to help solve this issue.

If the computer will not install the driver, don't try to install it. Laptops rarely get driver updates and support assist is sometimes wrong confusing laptops with desktops that do have driver updates. All drivers must come from Dell since they are customized by Dell for your exact model.
If you are reinstalling all the drivers after a reinstall of windows, the original chipset drivers must be installed first or all other drivers will not install. See the directions at Dell Support for installing previous original drivers
