Inspiron 15 7000

I purchased an Inspiron at Best Buy approximately 6 months ago.

After paying over $800.00 for the machine, it will now not boot up.

Best Buy's answer: Since it has been 6 months, you have to deal directly with Dell.

Dell's answer:  Since you purchased the machine at Best Buy and not directly from Dell it only comes with hardware warranty.

Even though I purchased the laptop only 6 months ago, Dell now wants me to pay them $250.00 to purchase an additional warranty in order for their tech team to continue to troubleshoot.  I have been buying only Dell since the 90s.  I feel very cheated.  Has anyone else run into anything like this?

Does the system show any signs of life when you attempt to start it such as any beeps, flashing diagnostic lights, etc.? You can also try to reset the system. Disconnect the battery and unplug the adapter. Now press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try again.

Thank you.   I, greatly, appreciate your suggestions.

Since I was forced to do my own troubleshooting, I tried to reset it but did not fix the problem.  I had to perform a factory reset.

I refused to give Dell another penny.

I feel cheated.
