Inspiron 15 Series 5000 Model 5570, Screen Pitch Black, Will Not Turn On
The LEDs on the keyboard turn on, fans work, dvd player works, but the screen remains Absolutely dark. Battery not removable
Have done RTC 30 second hold down
Have pressed f12 multiple times
Nothing comes onto the screen
No cracks or physical damage on screen or anywhere else on laptop
Was purchased March this year.

Contact Dell support as its still in warranty. It would appear to be a hardware problem and only Dell support can get it corrected under warranty.

I have the same issue but my laptop is a couple years old. It worked fine until about a year ago. Started having episodes of black screen at boot up, taking longer and longer to start up, but eventually it would come up. I assumed virus or malware and did a scrub. A few weeks ago I turned it on and it took 20 minutes to come up. Yesterday, nothing. Lights on, nobody’s home. Did the “remove battery, hold button down, put battery back in” thing several times. Tried the F12 suggestion but got nothing. Could it be battery? Ordered a new battery from amazon but from reading some of the posts am no longer sure that’s the way to go. Help please! NonnaD
