Inspiron 15 refusing to boot up properly; "No bootable devices were found!"

Hello, friends! I have no idea what I'm doing, so please bare with me.

I got my Inspiron15 a few years ago. I've probably had it since it was released, now that I think about it.

I've not used it for the past 3-4 years, as I got my Macbook Pro around 2017-2018. However, when attempting to boot it up for funsies, I remembered why I stopped using it-- it refuses to boot up.

Basically, a screen pops up that says something along the lines of "Your system seems to be having trouble starting" and it is "scanning your hardware for a possible cause". I can only click ESC to stop the scan or F2 to see the BIOS setup which leads me to a bunch of weird system things that feels like a big pile of gibberish.

I sat for maybe 5 minutes waiting on the scan to stop, but it stops at the estimated time of 1 second. From there, it will not budge. (UPDATE AS I'M WRITING THIS: About 3-5 minutes after this, it pops up saying "Hardware scan complete with no issues... No bootable devices were found! Possible causes could be a corrupt OS image or a boot device is not enabled in BIOS setup". Once again... gibberish to me.)

As far as what I do know, the battery needs to be replaced, but I've had computers say this before and all it needed was to be on charge constantly while I used it. I do know that the battery could still be the sole problem, though.

All I want to do is to be able to factory reset it and possibly use it for college work, as sometimes my Mac cannot access certain files because... well, it's a Mac.

Thank you for reading and your potential help, I look forward to seeing any and all responses you have. I will try to look at them as soon as possible, but life can get pretty busy. Thank you, again!

There are a number of possible causes -- including the possibility a drive has failed.  "inspiron 15" covers dozens of possible models - you'll need to provide the exact model number (Inspiron 5555, 5579, etc.).  You can find this on the setup screen (F2 at powerup).

While in there, what drives are present in the system? There may be one -- or two -- and if two, the boot may require both of them.

Hi. It said that you can't boot your device. You should reinstall Windows. It can't boot to Windows, but it can boot to USB, right?

1.You shall download the Media Creation Tool to another computer, and insert a USB at least 8GB.

2.Open the file MediaCreationTool21H1.exe and accept the License Terms.

3.Check the Create installation media (USB Flash Drive, DVD, ISO Files) for another PC option. Then, click Next.

4.Click Next to continue (recommended) and click Next for the Setup to create a USB boot device.

5.When it has been done, safely remove the USB and insert it into your Dell PC, then repeatedly press the F12 button. then select your USB and start reinstalling.

For reinstalling the Dell factory image, click here for help.

If this works, leave a Kudo and Accept this as a solution.
