Inspiron 17 3000 Motherboard Compatibility

Hi there, I was wondering if there are any other, better Motherboards that would be compatible and safe to transfer onto a Inspiron 17 3000.

The answer is no - only a board from the same model will fit into the system.  The 17-3000 is a whole series of systems, all of which use different system boards.  The systems may in fact be manufactured by different companies - Dell has switched between all of the major notebook manufacturers (Quanta, Compal, Wistron, Pegatron, etc.).

The current model is the 3793, but there are older ones with older-generation CPUs -- they won't work (nor will any newer one that arrives).

Hello, I'm about to buy an Inspiron 17 3000 3793 laptop that don't have backlit keyboard.  I'm wondering if it's possible to install a backlit keyboard on it ?  On Ebay, I found motherboard for that kind of laptop that does have the backlit connector.

Is there a way I can find what kind of motherboard is in the laptop before I buy it ?  or is there a way to find if the backlit connector is on the motherboard ?
