Inspiron 5480 - Memory Integrity is off and cannot be turned on
Hi! New to the forum.
I have a 3 year old Inspiron 5480 which is working fine and is in almost stock condition - hardly any additional software.
Recently, after a Windows 11 update, i get a warning saying that Memory Integrity is off. tried to turn it on and i get a list of 11 drivers that are incompatible (looks old) from Qualcomm, 02Micro, ST Microelectronics, Conexant, Gemplus and even Dell. Qualcomm, for one, does not provide consumers with drivers.
I prefer not to delete those drivers as they work my smart-card reader etc.
Will Dell be updating those drivers soon?
I am sure many others are facing the same issue.

There are quite a few of these types of threads over in the Microsoft forums. It seems if you have the Security Virtualization enabled, it might see some drivers it does not like. The older the machine the more drivers you may see.
It is important to understand, unless you have an updated driver, if you are currently using that driver for some device, you should not try to uninstall it. I was even showing a driver that Windows suggested be loaded on my system.

Hello,
Memory integrity is a security feature if it reports incompatible drivers first thing todo is to check if you have the latest version of the driver.
No It is not Dell's job to update drivers in non dell hardware just go to the website of the company who created the hardware and check to see if an update is available if it isn't you'll have to wait or ask them.

Yes, not wise to simply delete incompatible drivers - or risk stuff not working.
Will have to wait for Dell and the respective parties to update them. Qualcomm for one does not provide updates to end consumers so Dell will have to disseminate them through their updates.
