Inspiron 5570 max ram
The Dell user manual for the Inspiron 5570 laptop says the max ram is 32 G using 2 memory slots.
I upgraded to two 16 Gb boards of the correct type, but I keep getting a shut down with various stop code errors every 10 min or so.
I did not get a stable system until I left a single 16 Gb memory board in a slot. That's some wasted money there after upgrading from 8 Gb. What's going on?
thanks for any help-

If your original 8 GB was one module, it could be that the second slot was always faulty although you didn't know about it.
Try the 16 GB in slot #2 leaving slot #1 empty.

I can confirm that the Inspiron 5570 can handle 32Gb of RAM.
Original my 5570 was supplied with a single slot 16Gb Ram (Hynix), after adding another 16Gb (Crucial) the laptop is running without any problems in dual channel mode.
Suggestion: Check the RAM slot information in a program like CPU Z (cpuio.com).
