Inspiron 5577 Dead
Hello.
I have had my 5577 for a few years and have zero issues until Sunday.
The Laptop was powered on sitting on a table, I used it for a few minutes, walked a way for a while, came back and it was off. I attempted to power it on, nothing, no fans, nothing. I held power button down for a 30 seconds, nothing. I removed the battery, connected power cable and attempted to power it back on, nothing. I read the CMOS battery could be dead or be causing the issues so I removed the wrist pad, keyboard and replaced the CMOS battery with a new one, verifying the voltage at the end of the plug with Multimeter. Re-attached the wrist pad and connected the ribbon cables and still nothing. The blue ring is on the power cable end and when the cable is inserted into the laptop the LED is on and is solid white, when I push power button the LED flashes white once, if I hold the power button it flashes white until I release the power button, then the LED returns to a solid white color.
Anyone have suggestions/recommendations?

I don't like to hear this, I have a 5577.
What you are seeing with the power light does not agree with the Dell listing for this.
With what you have done is all what I would have done too, except the CMOS battery reset needs the internal battery (and charger) disconnected when you remove the CMOS battery or its not a complete reset. I know its a hassle accessing the battery but at this stage and what its doing/not doing I would do the battery reset again. Disconnect the PC battery and then remove the CMOS battery for at least five minutes. If this doesn't help, the main board (motherboard) would be my first suspect.

Make sure you have re-attached everything correctly when you had the laptop apart when replacing the CMOS battery.
Remove the hard drive and see if you can boot into BIOS. I would do this without the battery.

@fireberd thank you for the reply - I really like this laptop, it was great until now.
Just a FYI - I also swapped the position of the single 8GM ram chip from slot 1 to 2 and still nothing.
I had the laptop unplugged, no battery and no CMOS battery for a few hours last night and reattached everything and nothing changed. As I read your post, what I have done should be sufficient unless I need to do something else, let me know. Is there anyway to test/confirm the issue is the MB? I looked last night and yes I can find a new MB but the cost is about what a new Laptop is and I just don't think it makes sense to buy a USED MB if I can get a new Laptop unless by some random miracle the the MB is covered more than the standard 1 yr warranty from Dell.
Two MB numbers are AM9B and HKGP2.
IF the MB is bad I and I decided to purchase a new laptop do you have any model recommendations that are similar to this one?

The power button LED is not on and the fans don't spin at all when power is pressed.
The power cable LED ring is blue when connected to outlet.
When the power cable is inserted into laptop port the front LED under the touchpad is illuminated and turns solid white, when the power button is pressed that same LED flashes once then returns to solid white, even without battery installed. When battery is installed the behavior is the same, solid white, flashes once when power button is pressed, if power button is held, the LED flashes once a second until the power button is released, then returns to solid white.
Hope that helps.
Just a FYI incase anyone is wondering, it was purchased June of 2018.

If you are referring to the power button LED, solid white means that the laptop is powered on.
If you are referring to the front battery LED, constant white means the Battery in charge mode with AC Adapter present

@nyc10036 Great idea! I removed all components again, unplugged CMOS for 10 minutes again, reinstalled everything except battery and still nothing, the LED is solid white when power cable is plugged in, when the power button is pressed it flashes once then returns to solid white. Any other ideas?

All indications are that your laptop is getting power.
I would remove the main battery and leave it out. Remove the hard drive and leave it out.
Then try to power on the laptop to BIOS.
I suspect that the motherboard is bad or at the very least power is not getting from the DC jack to the rest of the motherboard.
Out of ideas.

Battery is out so I removed the SSD Drive, held power button for 30 seconds without the charge cable attached just to clear any residual power out, attached power cable and attempted to turn on, nothing new happens, the LED under the touch pad flashes once, when held it flashes until power button is released.
UGH - I appreciate your help, if you think of anything else please let me know.

The first step is to force shutdown and restart the computer, or you can try it in safe mode first. If it is better or does not appear in the future, it may just be a software problem. The second step is that the restart is not possible. The next step is that the system may have a problem. The easiest and most direct way to deal with system or software problems is to reinstall the system. This requires you to install the system. The third step, the previous test has been tested that forced shutdown and restart will not work, and reinstallation of the system will not work. Then it should be a hardware failure. If your system can still be used, it may take a while to freeze or untimely freeze, then you can troubleshoot the simplest hardware failure to dissipate heat, such as downloading a Master Lu, and doing a temperature stress test for 20 minutes to see the graphics card And the maximum temperature of the CPU, if the temperature is high, for example, an alarm has been issued, then the crash is probably related to heat dissipation. The fourth step, if all the previous ones have been done and the crash problem has not been solved, then the problem of your laptop is serious, and it has entered the stage of spending money. The first is to start with simple replacement parts, such as the memory module replacement test, the replacement hard disk test, if it is good to replace that part, then the failure point is this part.

Find a fix? I'm having this problem too. If I drained the power by holding the button, then reattaching power, I notice the fans will start to spin then stop. Subsequent presses causes the power button to flash weakly once.

Have you tried it with and without the AC power supply?
Since it powered itself off, my first thought is overheating. But if its left to cool it should work again. The Intel CPU has built in thermal protection and if it overheats it will power itself off and won't power back on until it sufficiently cools.
You can also try resetting the CMOS memory (BIOS) and see if that helps. With the AC power supply disconnected, Remove the CR2032 coin cell battery for at least 10 minutes. Reinstall, observing correct polarity. Then try powering on.

f drivers are in correct order:
Installing (touchpad) drivers through Windows Update - Type Setting onto search box, click Update And Security, and select Check for Updates. Install any available updates and restart computer if required.
Also check Update History for any failed updates
