Inspiron 5590 touchscreen not working and BIOS update issues

 Hello,  I was having intermittent issues with my touchscreen not responding and then it stopped working completely.  I researched and tried many of the fixes suggested.  One was to uninstall and reinstall the HID-compliant touchscreen driver.  I uninstalled it and have searched and have not been able to find a reinstall link.  In addition, I have done a BIOS update multiple times and I get a message that it is successful.  But, when I go to support assist it shows up as needed to be installed.  Are these two issues related?  If they are not related, how do I find a link to reinstall my HID-compliant touchscreen driver?
