Inspiron 5770, headphone jack is not working
Earlier it was working and I was able to listen through headphones as well. but since a week, it has stopped behaving. the headphone jack popup is also not coming

How was this resolved? I'm having the same problem. I used to get the pop up each time I plugged headphones or speakers into the audio jack and a few days ago it just stopped appearing. If I restart the laptop (Inspiron 5770) and have my headphones plugged in they work. As soon as I unplug them the sound will come out of the laptop speakers but when I plug the headphones back in I do not get the pop up and the audio does not transfer to the headphones.

do try with another earphones , may need another jack moving foward
