Inspiron 6000 and drivers..

I am resuscitating an Inspiron 6000 laptop (for the 2nd time !) I had it running well after the last re-build but it suddenly failed again and I am giving it one last chance ! I have installed the following drivers from the Dell Support site: R85255.exe  R89598_5K9CG_SETUP_ZPE.exe  R104087.exe  R128346.exe  R99254.exe  R114079.exe and R130907.exe but I have this problem as shown in the Device Manager :  IMG_8085(small).jpg

I did try to install R155386.exe which might be for the network controller but I got an error message half way through extracting it and it failed. Can anyone tell me what the Network Controller and Video Controller drivers should be please ? Thank you for any help given.

Re-installing Windows is pointless if the underlying problem is a bad motherboard or a bad hard drive.

Anyway, use your Service Tag.

Yes, I understand that and as I wrote in my original post, I am going to set up the Inspiron one more time and if it fails again then I will disgard it. I should probbaly have mentioned that my installation disk is not the original but it worked before (although I did have to install some drivers at that time also) and it also installs SP3.

Sounds like you are trying to install XP which you should have written in your original post.

Use your Service Tag number to help you determine which hardware you have in your laptop and download the appropriate drivers. You should install chipset driver first.

I hope you are not planning to go online with XP  with its security risks!

Yes, I should have said that I am trying to install XP. I was too concerned about telling folks what I had done so far. I have used my ST  number on the download page but it wasn't accepted at the time and so I used the drivers that I had downloaded when I did the previous build. I have subsequently read that there is a specific order in which drivers should be installed and I can't remember which one I installed first. Is it possible to un-install them or do I have to start right from the beginning with a completely new install of XP ?

When I input the correct ST I get this :
