Inspiron 7400, cannot disable adaptive brightness in BIOS?
This laptop doesn´t have an option to disable adaptative brightness in UEFI bios, it´s a very annoying problem. I have another Dell 5502 with 11th gen and i have this option in bios, so please add it to the inspiron 7400.

The problem is that the EcoPower option that solves this problem is not present in the BIOS of this computer.
Please Dell, update the BIOS with the EcoPower option.

Yes please fix this - it's super annoying to have the screen constantly doing adaptive brightness when you don't want it to change.

Welcome to the Dell Community @jlmcr87 and @ryban3z
I do not have this option so I cannot test it at this time.
But are you able to do it from Windows???

None of this options are working. So no option in BIOS, no option in Windows.
The only thing i can do is disable power savings in the Intel control center, but this only solves the problem when you are on AC plug.

Dell Support is not able to give a solution. Incredible. They only copy paste a solution that doesn´t work.
Listen: You have to update BIOS with the EcoPower option. It´s the only solution. It´s a ridiculous and annoying bug. You can´t work with the brightness changing every window you open.

Still no solution...we need a BIOS update with the EcoPower option to solve the brightness problem.

Bios update 1.3.3 doesn´t solve the problem. I know it´s too soon, but please, in the next BIOS add the EcoPower option. We need to control the brightness changes under battery. Thanks

Agree with you 100%. I am experiencing the same issues with what should have been a premium laptop purchase. Adaptive brightness is killing my user experience!
