Inspiron 7559 loose clamp inside

Hi,

I opened up my Inspiron 7559 gaming notebook (i7 6700hq) to upgrade it's memory (1x8GB to 2x8GB), and, to my surprise, I found a loose "u" clamp (image attached) stuck at the memory module support socket.

Please, can you tell me where this metal clamp originates from?  It is part of the motherboard design? If the answer is yes, where, on the board, this metal piece originated from?
