Inspiron 7560 Battery Replacement
Hi all, I have been receiving 'Power Manager Lite' notifications for a while now on my Inspiron 7560 informing me that my battery can no longer provide sufficient power to my system and needs replacing.
Just doing some research on replacement batteries and it looks like would need battery part number WDX0R.
Would someone be able to tell me if that's correct before purchasing anything? Just want to be 100% sure.

If you are in the U.S., Parts People seem to be the place to get genuine OEM Dell equipment, based on multiple sources (boards, forums, reddit, etc.) although I have not bought from them.

It has nothing to do with the battery -- the battery has only one cable, regardless of its design. The cable that runs under the battery likely connects the keyboard and/or touchpad to the system board.

I have the same model, but when I tried to remove the battery there was an extra ribbon cable which wasn't described in the instructions. Does that ring a bell? I'm scared to remove it as I can't see where it would connect to the replacement battery

The battery only has one cable that connects to the MB. The smaller cable you see is taped to the battery and connects the HDD/SSD to the MB. Again that cable does NOT connect to the battery. The service manual here describes disconnecting that smaller cable from the MB to enable removing the battery easier. It may be possible to gently slide the battery out by not disconnecting the HDD/SDD cable from the MB.
