Inspiron 7567 not hibernating

Hello,

I have an Inspiron 7567 (15 7000 Gaming Series, early 2017), and the “hibernate” function has randomly stopped working. Not only does it fail to work when I click on it in the Start Menu, but it also fails to work when I close the lid (I have it set to do so when I close the lid). Does anyone know what could be happening and how to fix it? I don’t want to have to reinstall Windows.

Thanks,
Justin

The power options are usually tied to the video driver.  You might check for an update to that.  You could also try changing your power scheme..

Do you still have the Fast Windows Startup enabled?

If you open an admin command prompt and type powercfg /a does it show hibernation being available?
