Inspiron 7570 touchpad responsiveness issues
Hi folks, every now and again my touchpad loses responsiveness. This occurs only on the lower half of it. It simply doesn't respond to any finger movement. It seems to happen randomly, I cannot discern a reason why it loses responsiveness, and why it starts working again. One suspicion I have is temperature. This problem doesn't happen as soon as I turn on the laptop, and seems to clear up once I walk away from the laptop for a bit. Maybe heat from beneath the touchpad is causing a problem? I dunno, just a feeling I have.
The troubleshooting steps I have tried are:
1) Washing my hands
2) Cleaning the touchpad with rubbing alcohol
3) Running SupportAssist diagnostics
4) Updating drivers (I do not remember if any of the drivers were for the touchpad)
5) Updating the BIOS
6) Checking out the touchpad settings in control panel.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

about a week after i first posted this, my touchpad started working again. I didn't do anything to fix it, or if I did, I don't remember what I did. Now I'm having the same issue again. Any suggestions?
