Inspiron G7, overheating

Hello,

My Dell Inspiron G7 Laptop recently started overheating to the point where I touch the front of my computer and it nearly burns my hand. I haven't been able to find a solution to the issue from other online forums.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You can reduce the processor state to 99% (right click on the battery icon, choose power options, then change plan settings, then change advanced power settings), which will reduce the temperature (and the performance).  You can also install Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, and then undervolt the Core Voltage (-0.075 works for me) and limit the Processor Core IccMax (50.000 A works).
Also make sure you have the latest BIOS.  I think it may be 1.9?
