Issues with Inspiron 15, 5000 series, model P75F

Hello!

I've been using Dell Inspiron 15, 5000 Series (model no. P75F) laptop for the past 2 years. But suddenly it had started to make some random buzzing noises (probably the fan) and the green freezes as well. The overall functioning has been slowed down a d this happens especially when I'm using Adobe Illustrator or any other software from the Adobe suit.

Initially I thought it might be because the files are heavy and hence the laptop is acting this way but sometimes the sounds persist even when the laptop is been shut down.

It would be amazing if you could help me with this, thank you!

I'm using the same model for the last two and half years and still there is no issues faced. In case if you are getting fan noise issues, I'd suggest try the following ways to get some peace. I'm sure it will make your laptop fan quieter.

#1. Dust is the first reason and the most common problem of any laptop's noise. So try clean your laptop fan. If you have no idea how to clean it, simply watch a YouTube Video.

#2. Close the apps that are not in use. If you are a Creative Cloud user, make sure to use one app at a time. Also make sure to close Chrome browser when you have Illustrator open on your machine.

#3. Check your laptop for malware. Make sure to have a premium version of any good Antivirus.

#4. Keep your laptop a bit above than the surface. Since the cooler fan are positioned at the bottom so it might be a reason as well. So it a good trick to leave some space underneath your laptop.

#5. If you think all the above methods doesn't work for you, do invest in an "Additional Cooler". Most of the laptops start making noise when overheated. The additional coolers are specially designed to reduce the noise and make your laptop quieter.

Hope this help.

It is indeed more than likely your laptop's main cooling fan that has stopped, or at minimum slowed to nearly stopped.  If that is the case, you will not be able to run your laptop for very long at all before the CPU overheats and kicks thermal protection in ... basically the CPU will slow to an absolute crawl to avoid literally roasting itself and catching on fire.  Be glad modern CPUs do this!  In the day that CPU would have just chugged on until it was black and crispy.

The laptop will have to be disassembled and the fan replaced.  Good new is this is fairly easy and fairly cheap as far as laptop repairs go, but if I were you I'd return it to Dell for service or another qualified technician if you are out of warranty; which I assume is the case since it's old enough to have used up the fan.

Meantime at the minimum get a cooling pad to set it on - a strong one that blows LOTs of air so it can assist the damaged fan to keep your machine cool

I understand your issue. I face the same while using the laptop.

I bought on Mar2018 for official purpose. With Configuration of i5 8th gen 1tbHdd 8gb ram 2gb amd radeon 530.

first year no issues, once warranty ended started facing issues like what you faced. takes nearly 10-15mins to bootup, am using matlab and ms office tools. I hate to using my laptop on these days. Later I found that hdd have life span, while checking it has only 9% of life by using tool of hard disk sentinel software. So I changed new hard disk. Thats somewhat fine. But it not met my expectations. After 6 months later I upgraded to additional 512gb Nvme SSD and 8gb ram. And new battery replaced 3 months ago.

Now I dont see any issues now in my laptop, now its met my expectations, no lagging, no heat sink fan sound. Bootup in 10 seconds, no waiting or loading.
