Multiple displays not working with my drawing tablet??
So I recently got a screen drawing tablet and I'm trying to make it so I can use my laptop for one thing and draw on my tablet but I can't seem to extend the display without one screen just being unusable. Like ill do the extend this display option and I can click on things on my tablet but no apps will open on that screen just on my laptop. How can I make it so I can perform separate actions on each screen?

It's difficult to answer in a vacuum.
What model system?
What model tablet?
Do other applications work OK with the extended screen (if they do, it's likely an issue with the capability or driver for the tablet)?

You may want a clearer explanation of exactly what you're trying to do.
Here's what it appears to be from what you've posted:
You have a notebook computer of the 7000 series with a second monitor attached.
You're trying to use both displays (extended, not cloned) with the tablet.
It's not working to extend the ability to write onto the second screen.
If that's what you're trying to do, do other applications (Excel, Word, browser, etc.) take advantage of the extended screen?
If they do, how do you have the tablet set up -- or probably more precisely, does its driver support the extended screen? On most of these, there's a setup in the driver to correlate the size of the tablet with the application and or screen size.
If this isn't what you're asking about, please clarify.

@ejn63 Yes, that's all correct I'm trying to use each monitor for separate functions as you stated. The extended display isn't working because one screen becomes unusable after I choose it (For example if I open something on the nonworking screen it will just open up on the working screen) The driver does have a display thing called working area function but nothing seems to change with either (both settings being monitor1 (my laptop) and fullscreen which is my tablet I think?) I'm certain the tablet does support this because it functioned on my sister's desktop perfectly. (shes at college now that's why I have her tablet)

The display setting in the bottom right corner just changes the colors on my tablet so its unrelated
