Other information.
I put a DVD in the drive, you can hear it spin up but nothing shows on the screen then it stops spinning.
My DVD does not show up as a drive anymore.
I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home last year. Is this is the problem?
I have not used the DVD for several months.
System Information under problems devices reads: Error code 39 for this device.
I have tried to update the DVD driver but Windows tells me I have the latest driver.

Thank you.

What is on the dvd? Windows 10 Media Player cannot show video on a dvd. You have to add a video player app for dvd videos. Put in a cd with some files on it to test.

There are data files and programs on the CD. I have used this CD before. I think the problem maybe do to upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
