N7010 with P6000 upgrade with cpu i5

Hello all,

I have a N7010 with P6000. Is it possible to upgrade it with cpu i5? If yes, what I need to change in my notebook to have it?

Thank you

Best regards,

It'll take a first-generation i5-460m or similar, yes.  If you need something newer, no - for that you need a newer system.

These CPUs are vintage 2010, so you'll need to look for a used one - they are long out of production.

Thanks for your clear response!

Do I need to change some other component by installing the i5? Or voltages, etc? or just replace the CPU and ready.

Do all vintages CPUs listed in this link are compatible with my notebook? http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_i5_Mobile/i5-460M_(PGA988).html?linkId=87145796

Thanks and best regards
