New Dell G3 15 3500 randomly closes when using.
I got a Dell G3 15 3500 and since day 1 of me getting the laptop it would randomly say "hibernating then would say locking" and would close. The keyboard remains on and the fans do as well but the screen goes completely black and I have to hold down the power button to close it and I have to reopen it again. It's so annoying and I just got the laptop a few days ago.

I have the same problem that my laptop is locking itself while I am playing so dell Community please tell us the solution

I had the same problem.
I have a cooling pad but still it would reach temperatures of 100° Celsius while gaming.
If i forget to turn my cooling pad on it will lock sooner or later.
Now with higher temperatures outside even the cooling pad couldn't prevent locking anymore.
I'm running WOT on ultra HD settings. (SD doesn't make a difference)
I've configured WOT in the Alien ware command center to Cool thermal profile which keeps the surface temp of the laptop normal and the fans are running 80% so less noise.
Power management is set to high performance.
Now I turned off Intel turbo boost and temps are not going over 80° Celsius and it all is working fine.
(with cooling pad)
I don't notice anything in performance.
Getting 80-90 FPS.
I run Open hardware monitor to check my temps.

ok, it locked again during the day.
really don't know why.
this is just terrible!

looks like locking FPS at 60 is doing the trick with all the other settings i mentioned like no turbo boost.
60 FPS is more than enough to make it run smooth and the temp stays below 80° Celsius.
no more locking so far...

pressing the G button makes the fan run at 92% and keep it even cooler
(with cool settings)

Bro I Think its due to the heating issue while doing the graphic work or playing games.

I have same issue it happens when laptop crosses 99c temp for CPU while playing games. I suggest you to apply these settings in alienware command center in fusion tab it helped me very much but sometimes it gets locks.

Your laptop model and any softwares like alienware command center or predator control center etc present for controlling fan speeds

DELL G3 3500 WITH ALIENWARE COMMAND CENTER. And also it not only shut down while playing games but also shut down when I am simply browsing the internet. So help me.
