OFFICE HOME AND STUDENT 2007 COMPATIBILITY WITH WINDOWS 10
Please advise if Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 is compatible with Windows 10? I am about to purchase a new PC where the Office software has to be purchased separately. I currently own a copy of 2007 and would be personally happy using it.

All you have to do is Google.

Thanks, Mary G. Due to my limited use of the media at my age, I am not so sure I would want to subscribe.

Microsoft does not support that version of Office anymore. It is safer to buy a new subscription directly from MS instead of from the retailer. https://products.office.com/en-us/compare-all-microsoft-office-products?icid=MSCOM_QL_Office&activetab=tab%3aprimaryr1
Office is now a subscription service that has to be renewed every year.
Correction- you can use office 2010 as long as it is not the 2010 Starter version

Again, Google is your friend.
Office 365 is the "cloud" version of Microsoft Office.
Office 2019 is available for purchase. Microsoft no longer provides a DVD.

@NMBFLASH if you don't want to subscribe and don't like the cost of a perpetual license for Office 2019 either, then you could look at OpenOffice or LibreOffice, both of which are free and can work with Microsoft Office file types. I haven't used either of them extensively, but you might find that they're sufficient for your purposes. Andi f you have a Gmail account or would be willing to get one, there's also Google's browser-based applications for this purpose that can also work with Office file types. I haven't used those much, and of course those aren't locally installed applications, but depending on your needs and budget, you might find that working with documents purely through your browser is an option for you.
