Possible overheat? Inspiron 7577
Dear Community
I'm simply a console guy who haven't used computer for like 3 years now. It changed in March and I became a fresh user of Dell Inspiron 15 7577.
I'm very satisfied with that machine and it didn't let me down in the past 2 months. However, I just started playing quite demanding game (KC:D) and I noticed that the machine directly below lid is hot as **bleep**. I downloaded an app that shows me the temperature of different CPU cores.
Yesterday, after around 1.5h of gaming, the statistics were that 3 out of 4 cores had max of 90-96C with one core having max at 100C.
I don't think this is normal. Is this going to damage my laptop? Please advise as I don't really want to have it broken after 2 months.

Hi KamG,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Unfortunately your system was not tested to work with the game you described, so we will not have data on the various temperatures involved. We've noticed that different temperature monitoring software will produce varied results and may not be accurate.
As long as the computer's vents are not obstructed and the fans are running, then according to the information I've been given, the temperature should be within normal limits.
Other users have reported success with lowering the temperatures by changing the thermal grease, which you may or may not be interested in depending upon your level of working with electronics.
