RAM Upgrade for Inspiron 14 3467
Hello everyone!
I currently have 4GB RAM DDR4 2400 mHz for my Inspiron 14 3467 laptop.
I'm planning to add more memory, an additional of 8GB RAM DDR4 2400 mHz to be specific.
My problem here is I'm quite not sure if 12GB of RAM for this laptop will work.
Should I go ahead and buy that 8GB?

Dell specs are for 2, 4, or 8 GB in each slot. The specs also state a maximum of 4, 6, 8, and 16 GB total. Will 12 work, probably but keep in mind that only the original 4 GB and 4 GB of the 8 GB module will run in dual channel mode. The other 4 GB of the 8 will not be in dual channel but in single channel (Flex mode). Having said that RAM should always be installed in matching pairs for the best compatibility and for maximum dual channel operation.
