SSD / HDD Storage Compatibility & Brand for Inspiron 3543
Hi All,
Is more than 1TB HDD / SSD Compatible for Inspiron 3543?. Which is the good brand for purchasing, if I need to change to SSD, will it be compatible & will laptop run smoothly without any cause to it.
I'm planning to upgrade my laptop by installing SSD for good performance as my previous HDD is dead & also laptop was hanging, running slow on 1TB HDD which was installed on it.
Can u please let me know in this regard.

Any 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD drive up to 2 TB should work. The computer should have no issues detecting and using either technology. I can't recommend a good, reliable SSD brand. All I can say is that cheaper brands/models will probably get you by for a few years, depending on usage.
If you plan on reinstalling Windows from scratch, you will need the recovery media that you previously created. If you don't have the recovery media, you can try downloading the recovery image by using the Dell OS Recovery Tool. This method may not work as your computer appears to be about 5 years old, and I'm not sure when Dell introduced this feature. Assuming that your computer was shipped with Windows 10, you can alternatively download Windows 10 here and create an installation USB drive for re-installation. However, you will need to manually re-install any drivers and programs that were originally shipped with the computer. They can be found here, or you can try using the Dell Update application instead. Otherwise, you can attempt to clone your HDD and its existing data to the new drive using Macrium Reflect, though you will need a SATA to USB adapter in order to temporary attach the 2nd drive to your computer in order to do so.
