SSD compatibility

Hello, I'm looking purchase a SSD drive for my desktop. Being somewhat behind on much of the techy things now a days was hoping someone here would be able to help with determining if my PC Inspiron 5680  is compatible and connections on the inside for this Samsung device.  Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe, Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology (MZ-V7S500B/AM).. Also I am looking to upgrade the ram from 8gb, and don't know much about what to look for other than another stick of what I have, but was hoping there was something more cost effective. I bought this about 2 years ago from dell about 6 months left on the waranty, haven't had any real issues. Just hoping to have my games play/load faster. Thanks much for any help and suggestions.

The system will take one M.2 NVMe drive -- that said, open the system and make sure the required mounting hardware is in the system.  If it's not, you'll need to order the screw and mounting post with the drive (they're not proprietary parts.
