Screen flickering when streaming: Inspiron 15R 5537

Hi, I've been having some issues with my touchscreen lately. My screen flickers and goes blank for about 2 seconds when I'm streaming content (e.g. YouTube, Netflix). This happens when I engage with the computer while it is streaming: e.g. when I move the mouse, or change from full screen to partial screen, or when I touch the touch screen.

I don't think it's a hardware issue (e.g. pinched cable) as the problem does not happen to the same extent when I'm watching something I have downloaded, or something from an external drive. It's gotten progressively worse since my last set of DELL updates, but was present for a short while and to a lesser extent prior to that.

Any suggestions?
