Screen issues with Dell Inspiron 15 7000
So i got up this morning, and turned on my laptop. Then i turned on my tower. When i looked back to my laptop, not only was the screen flickering, there was sparse green snow dancing across the screen. The flickering got worse until it wouldn't show the screen at all. I turned if off and back on, and i had snow, and about 30 seconds in, the flickering came back, and then the screen went black.
So i came to this site where i found 3 similar problems and solutions. I held down d while pressing the power button, and it did its thing, but it did not get rid of the flickering or snow. Moreover, i lost blue coloring in the form of a vertical bar an inch and a half across on the left side of my screen, and i turned my computer off.
I restarted, hit F12, and i am running diagnostics. The screen is flickering, with the screen off more than on. Now the screen is black, and i cant see the results.
What do i do? Is there a kind of monitor i can hook up to the laptop?
Edit: is this in the right place?

Connect any monitor that has a matching port. Then switch to external monitor using the shortcut key. See your manual for instructions.
Black screen might just mean Sleep. Press any key to wake.

Does the screen built-in self test (hold D through powerup) run successfully?

The black screen is not sleep. It does it by itself. i get about 2 miniuts of screen, 3 miniuts of flickering screen, and then no screen at all.
The laptop has no monitor port. Its a Dell Inspiron 15 7000.

The cable that connects the screen to the mainboard would be the next item to check.

What did you have to do with the cable? Replace, repair, replug, replace screen? Tell us grasshopper.
