Side Speakers Intermittent - Inspiron 7620
Inspiron 16 7620 2-in-1
Inspiron 16 720 Windows 11. I am having a problem where the side speakers will work for a short while and then they will begin cutting in and out about every second. The front speakers work fine. If I change a setting like bit rate they work for a short period of time and then begin switching on and off about every second. Anyone have a solution for this. I've ran through all the troubleshooting. All updates are installed and I've removed/reinstalled all the audio drivers. External speakers and bluetooth headphones work fine. It seems to be software related because they work fine for a short while after changing settings.

was curious if you ever found a solution to this? I just got a Inspiron 7620 and its doing the same thing with the top firing speakers. I thought it was a hardware issue, but I had the laptop switched out and the 2nd one is doing it as well.

Dell replaced the mother board and the top speakers. Issues was still there. Then they replaced the daughter board and the speakers a second time and that solved it. The tech thinks the speaker wire was routed poorly and pinched the wire. It was not software related.

Thanks for the info, I did contact Dell and they setup an onsite repair, which they no-showed twice on. So I just returned the laptop.
