Snapshot Backup

Hi Guilherme Bezzon:

See SteveTree's Reduce Disk Space Used by SARemediation. If you have already uninstalled SupportAssist and cannot TURN OFF System Repair in the SupportAssist settings at Options (gear icon) | Settings | System Repair | System Repair is Turned On as shown below [which should automatically delete the snapshots (system repair points) in C:\ProgramData\Dell\SARemediation\SystemRepair\] ...

Dell SupportAssist v3_8_1_23 Settings Turn Off System Repair Warning 03 May 2021.png

...you might still be able to TURN OFF System Repair in the SupportAssist OS Recovery settings manager at Control Panel | System and Security | SupportAssist OS Recovery | Settings to automatically delete these snapshots.

If that doesn't help see DELL-Chris M's SA Uninstall / Reinstall that includes instructions on how to uninstall SupportAssist and all it's associated components (including Dell SupportAssist Remediation).  Once all those programs are uninstalled you should be able to manually delete the files in C:\ProgramData\Dell\SARemediation\SystemRepair\.

Snapshot Backup

I have a Dell Notebook, however I noticed that some storage files, the snapshots, are stored for recovery and they are huge, in my case 32Gb and I have a 256Gb HD. They are in the Program Files folder and without access.

I tried to delete the folder but the permission error, I already uninstalled the support software and nothing.

How do I delete these snapshots?

Unlocker should do it.

Thank you for your feedback, and glad to hear your snapshots (system repair points) were automatically deleted when you turned off System Repair at Control Panel | System and Security | SupportAssist OS Recovery | Settings.

From Google Translate:
