USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 5406 i7 laptop which comes with USB Type-C Display Port. The user guide shows that I can not use this port for charging (" Connecting a USB Type-C power adapter to this port does not supply power to your computer and charge the battery. The USB Type-C port supplies power to your computer and charges the battery only if the Thunderbolt with Power Delivery feature is supported by your computer. ").  However, on my laptop, the "Thunderbolt Control Center" application shows that I have a thunderbolt 4 port. As I think which means I can use this port to charge the laptop. Actually is it possible?. And, is its only support for connecting to a display or can I connect other devices such as an external hard disc?.

@Achintha4759  Since it seems you have Thunderbolt 4, then yes it appears you can charge your system from that port. That’s what the specs you quoted say, and it’s also mandatory under the Thunderbolt 4 spec (except for PCs that require more than 100W power sources, which doesn’t apply here).

You can use that port for chargers, displays, USB peripherals, and Thunderbolt peripherals — including docking stations that can handle multiple of those functions simultaneously.
