Uninstall Dell Supportassist

I purchased an Inspiron 15 7567 model last year, and tried to uninstall all of the unnecessary Dell software that was put on the laptop when I ordered it. I uninstalled Dell Supportassist, but it still comes up when I restart my computer. Adding to this problem is that it claims that my processor fan is broken and makes a loud beeping noise, even though the fan works perfectly. Supportassist does not appear in the list of programs, is there any way to remove this or at least stop it from running every time I start up my computer?

Hi wamendolabye,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system was not performing to your expectations.

The Dell SupportAssist program should not be causing any issues with the performance of your computer.  However, you can choose to remove it, but it's a great tool for diagnosing issues with your system, and the Dell technicians will ask you to run it if you are seeking technical assistance.

I've heard customers say that there are at least 2 and as many as 4 instances of SupportAssist on their computers, so you may wish to rely on a third party software removal program to assist you with removing all instances of the program.

If you need to use the program in the future, you can always download it again from the website.

If you need further assistance, please contact me privately.  Be sure to include your contact information along with your service tag number.  Thanks.
