Upgrade ram to g5 5500

Hello to everyone,

I have the Dell G5 5500 laptop with Intel i7 10750H,

Currently I have 2x8 GB 3200 MHz ram , and I want to upgrade to 2x16 GB ram.

Which speed do I need to buy ? 2933 MHz or 3200 MHz (or they both are compatible ) ?

Thanks,

Correct configuration would be

32 GB, 2 x 16 GB, Dual-Channel DDR4, 3200 MHz, ECC

Here''s the part which will work.

2933 MHz will also work, but why use it on reduced speeds.

This will work as well would save a few bcks

but get an ECC memory if thats an option.

Thanks for your answer !

It has to be EEC memory or not ?

Is this ram also suitable ?

16GB DDR4 3200MHz Non-ECC Unbuffered SODIMM CL22 1Rx8 1.2V 260-pin 16Gbit

Kingston RAM

Hi guys, -my pc specs at bottom- it says this part CT16G4SFRA32A on Amazon (pic below) is "downclockable" I've never clocked anything but, think i'd be able to with instruction. To me, this seems like buying and clocking this part would make it a little future proof instead of buying similar that are set to lower speeds/clock times or whatever and then, eventually having to buy new part in future to keep up. Your thoughts please.Crucial CT16G4SFRA32ACrucial CT16G4SFRA32A
