Upgrading ssd drive for dell 7577
I am now upgrading my ssd m2 drive for dell 7577 to ssd m2 nvme larger size 500 gb
But after replacing the old ssd with the above mentioned new ssd, the laptop reads the new ssd as disk 1 not disk 0 as previously.
So what is the configuration or setting of bios to convert the new nvme ssd from disk 1 to disk 0

One last thing you can try if it bothers you:
Reload Windows on the new drive (with nothing else in the system).
Completely wipe the existing drive.
Then reconnect the original drive to the system.

Windows needs to be installed to the new drive (or the old drive needs to be cloned to the new) with ONLY the new drive connected the first time the OS boots.
If you leave the old drive in the system, the new drive will be marked as secondary.

Unless the system doesn't boot and run, it's nothing to worry about. It is likely your system is hardwired with the hard drive as disc 0 and the SSD as disc 1.

I already installed a new copy of windows 10
First i disconnect the secondary hard disk from bios option.
Second installing a fresh copy of windows 10 on the new ssd
Third connect the secondary hard disk
But the secondary hd reads as disk 0 and new ssd reads as disk 1
Is there any configuration on bios which i should follow?

Yes it is boot and run normally till now
But i am surprised why new ssd now reads as disk 1
Im spite of the old ssd reads as disk 0 on the same m2 slot

I think I tried everything and new ssd detected as disk 1 but I noticed that the Intel rapid technology doesn't read the new ssd nvme drive as before
