What is maximum Memory frequence on Inspiron 1545?
Hi everybody!
What is maximum memory frequence on Dell Inspiron 1545?
Can I work with PC2-8500/ddr2-1066/1066mhz ?
I asking this because the maximum processor that we can work on this machine is: T9900 and has bus 1066mhz.

To get this information you need to log on to support, enter your model number and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.
That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, You should download and read your Service Manual there you will find out how to open your notebook

That memory will not work The Crucial link that follows will help. That is an old system (approx 10 years old), as you know, and the maximum RAM is 8 GB of DDR2 800.

That is a hard one and may I say no manual will give you a definite answer.
I have 1545's that I could use to test but I know I do not have any PC2-8500 memory.
Without having both to test no one can say yes or no unless they have tried themselves???
Yes the FSB for the T9900 is 1066mhz but that is in conjunction with the Northbridge.
It is hard to say what the MB speed is from there???
In short the only way to know for sure is to test it yourself.
Unless someone here has tried and can give you first hand knowledge of success or failure???
