XPS 13-9365, battery issues!

Hi!

So yesterday my XPS 13-9365 was charging perfectly fine. Today, it won’t charge when it is on! Once I shut down my XPS 13-9365, the light by the touchpad turns on and it is charging. But super slowly. It was plugged in for about 10 hours and only charged to 60%. The second I turn my XPS 13-9365 back on, it won’t charge. I ran diagnostics and it said everything was fine. Checked the bios and it said the ac adapter was not installed, despite being plugged in. It is like the XPS 13-9365 doesn’t recognize it as a power source when on because it makes the “do-DO” noise when i plug the charger in as if I’ve plugged in something foreign like my phone. Please excuse the way i’m describing everything as i’m the opposite of tech savvy. If anyone has any idea how to fix this at home? I don’t want to send it into Dell as they claim I am no longer under warranty.
