Hi ayas,
I can't speak directly to your environment, but typically speaking, Isilon does not treat encrypted files any differently.

hi
thanks for the input .... So you mean File Encryption is kind of Application layer matter ... Isilon is not in the same layer .
Am I getting your idea correctly ?

Hi ayas,
Essentially, yes that is correct when it comes to file storage and retrieval. If I'm over simplifiying, the Isilon is responsible for holding the data. Just like a USB drive doesn't have any knowledge of where the file came from or what it does, it is just a storage component. Clearly the cluster is more complex than a USB drive, however the storage principle is the same.
