Are SyncIQ policies possible for a main folder and subfolder at the same time?
We have a syncIQ policy running on a folder called - DepartmentalData and there are 136 multiple subfolders under DepartmentalData.
Can we create another SyncIQ policy for one of the subfolders ? Can we have overlapping SyncIQ policies running on this main folder and subfolders at the same time?
Is there a requirement that we have to disable syncIQ policy running on main folder and then create & enable the policy for a subfolder ?
We need to know this because we are using superna eyeglass for failover a specific subfolder and that cant be done if a syncIQ policy is not running.
Thanks.

Hi RK_J
In talking with the people that specialize in SyncIQ, I learned this is not a recommended configuration. This is the answer I got:
It is possible to create the policies, but you will have problems with failover. If you have /ifs/data/folder and /ifs/data/folder/subfolder policies, when you fail them both over, the /ifs/data/folder directory becomes read-only on the source. Even if you exclude the directory from the main policy, this can still occur because it is now a target of the failback policy for the main directory.
