Branch Cache
Does Isilon support Branch Cache? More specifically if we have users from branch offices accessing files on Isilon in main office can we configure their Windows 7 workstations for BranchCache Distributed Cache mode? The users will access directly Isilon shares.
Or maybe there are other solutions for Isilion which could improve access to files on Isilon for users in branch offices?

Hi Tomek,
Isilon does not currently support Microsoft Branch Cache.
You may be able to construct a solution with 3rd party hardware that does the caching to each location.

OneFS does not support Microsoft Branch Cache still ?
It seems no such info in OneFS 8.0 ... but if anybody can confirm ... would be nice !

The only NAS-Appliance, which is no Windows Server and does support Branch Cache is Netapp OnTAP.
So yes . Isilon OneFS 8.0 still does not support Branchcache. Neither hosted not distributed.
