How can I have OneFS v7.0 SNMP Trap list?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a SNMP trap list for OneFS 7.0.x, so searched everywhere
for the list in EMC sites, but can't.
For stable operations and detecting cluster failure soon, I believe it's important to
considering the details of SNMP alerts.
Could you advise whether EMC provides the list for OneFS 7.0.x? How and where can I take?
Thank you,
Masahiro Uchida

If you have access to an Isilon node, you can find the list of traps in the file:
/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/ISILON-TRAP-MIB.txtYou can also extract this file from the OneFS installation package (OneFS_v7.0.1.x_Install.tar.gz).

Thanks.
Actually I tried to find a formal list from EMC, but got to see the descriptions of alerts.
I'm going to see and check the files.

The SNMP MIBs for your specific version, can always be downloaded from the Cluster's WebUI,
In 7.0.2.4 the breadcrumbs are:
Cluster Management-->General Settings-->SNMP Monitoring
There you can always get your version-specific release of the SNMP MIBs, SNMP-TRAP MIBs, and Nagios configuration files.
Hope that helps;

What if we needed to monitor the Isilon with SCOM and our SCOM admins are asking me if "SNMP is configured". I dont recall installing any MIBs on any of our clusters.

The MIBs are for the SNMP monitor (like Nagios). Typically, one downloads the MIBs and install them in a specific directory on the SNMP monitor. The MIBs (ISILON-MIB and ISILON-TRAP-MIB) are for 7.x available for download on the Cluster Management -> General Settings -> SNMP Monitoring tab. You can enable SNMP on the same page.
Cheers,
