If you are expecting to see an SMB ABE (Access Based Enumeration) kind of behaviour that only lists folders you have at least traversal or read rights, this isn't going to happen as ABE is an SMB protocol specific feature. FTP is quite trivial in its features - not specific to Isilon but as a protocol - if I may say so
noted about ABE only on SMB protocol, I curious how to limit permission using FTP? because when I try to access isilon using FTP, it seems I have full control especially on /ifs. Can we user FTP for file sharing (1 directory for more than 1 user access)?

Hi DELL-Sam L,
Thanks, actually I already access Isilon using SFTP but my expectation is to see just SMB Folder that have my permission. Is it possible?
Cause when I connect to the SFTP it refer to /root (first picture). FYI SMB Share is refer to directory under /ifs/BCA
Regards,
playhard

Hello Nealus99,
I am not aware of a way to make that happen.

I don't know the specifics on FTP implementation on Isilon, sorry! Maybe someone else can jump in?
